Monitor a specific process if it gets hung on linux
Monitor a specific process if it gets hung on linux
Is there a way to monitor a specific process on a linux box if it gets hung? I'm monitoring total processes but, I did not see a way to drill down to a specific one? I am sure I am missing something.

I'm pretty sure there are multiple ways to do this, but this is the first I found: https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/P ... sh/details

you probably want to check more at an application level. perhaps with synthetic user testing such as selenium, or checking ports / traffic that should otherwise respond to a user.

If you did want to go the Selenium route, we have a bit of a tutorial, that should help: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf
Are you looking for a specific process? There might be something on exchange specifically designed for it.
