Cannot log into web portal after initial deployment of VM

I downloaded the ova file so that I could demo the software. I have VMware Workstation 12 Player on my machine and imported the virtual machine. After it was deployed and running, I could access the web page to go through the initial configuration where you set the username and password for logging in. I then get taken to the login page. I enter my credentials but all that happens is that it clears the credentials and has me try to log in again. I even went through the deployment a second time and I am still having the same problems. Am I missing something? So far I am unable to demo the software.

What browser are you using? Does the same thing happen in other browsers? Are you blocking javascript?

For clarity, did you download the OVA from https://www.nagios.com/downloads/nagios ... er/vmware/ ?

I was using IE11 on my computer. I don't think javascript was blocked but I am not 100% sure at the moment. And at the time, I had not tried another browser yet. For the downloaded file, that is the file I downloaded and deployed.

I just got a chance to try the latest version of Chrome and it is letting me log in and view the web page. Before I tried Chrome I tried IE again. It gave be an error that the ID could not be found. Then I tried Chrome and it logged in just fine. I just tried IE again and now it is allowing me to log in. Not really sure what is going on, but it looks like the software itself is working fine.

Glad it's working for you! We can leave this open in case it pops up again. I'm a little suspicious of group policy with IE, but why it would not work and then work seems strange. Did you happen to reboot in between?
