Install Error

I downloaded the Vmware .ova version and imported into vmware. Went to the server ip in the browser and did the admin account setup and clicked Finish Installation and I get "An Error Was Encountered. The action you have requested is not allowed." nagiosna/index.php/install no clue on what I need to do to fix this.

Can you provide us with the download link to the OVA you used? Screenshots of the vmware console, and the error that you see in the web UI would be helpful.

First thing to do is to clear out your browsers cache and see if you can connect to the server then.
Or, if possible, try a different browser and see if that one causes the same issue.

If it still fails, login to the Nagios server using the root account and run the following tail command.

tail -f /var/log/httpd/*_log

Then try to login to the GUI and post the output of the tail command here so we can view the errors.

Is there a proxy server or firewall between your PC and the Network Analyzer server that is manipulating the data or are they on the same network?

Same network, no firewall.

Try this , edit this file on the NNA server

Change the following from (Line 296)

$config['csrf_protection'] = TRUE;

to

$config['csrf_protection'] = FALSE;

Save the file and restart Apache by running

service httpd restart

Clear the browsers cache and post back if this fixes the issue for you or not.

If you do upgrade the server in the future, you would have to re-edit the file if the error comes back.
