problem in ADDING EC2 HOST

I'm guessing the first problem related to the permissions on the /root/Downloads/ec2_credentials.cfg file?

For the "Apply Configuration" issue, double check that your Host has all the required variables set. It looks like max_check_attempts is missing. You can refer to Page 4 of this document for what i'm referring to:

The check interval, retry interval, and max check attempts are all required. You can inherit them from a template, but they need to be represented in one way or another.
