check_imap_receive and TLS

Our Exchange environment moved to requiring TLS connection over IMAP last year. In the interim I disabled my existing email delivery checks, since check_imap_receive did not work with TLS. Has anyone come up with a working plugin for IMAP over TLS? If not, is there somewhere I can offer my 'fix'? I am not a developer and cannot offer to support this change, but I believe I have TLS working in a modified version of the current check_imap_receive script.
