NAGIOS XI Update

Hi Team,

We are planning to update nagios XI to Latest Available Version: 5.4.5 from Installed Version :5.2.5

Could you plese let us know do we need downtime (outage) for nagios xi update ??

You should schedule some downtime, in case you need to roll back the update. Even if you do not rollback there will be some brief period of downtime, but you should have to reboot the server or anything like that.

Usually, problems with updates are due to cgroups, SELinux, and modified /etc/sudoers, but you could also see issues if you are running CentOS5 as it was EOL by Red Hat, or if your machine is under-powered.

We are updating it on CENTOS6 .

Well, we've eliminate one. Now we are left with cgroups, SELinux, and modified /etc/sudoers, but you could also see issues if your machine is under-powered.
