NNA/Nagios XI - Changing NNA Host IP in Nagios.

Post by krw »

I have 3 hosts that I setup NNA for a while back and did the intergration
with XI.

Yesterday had to change the IP of the NNA host and updated the hosts that
send sflow data to NNA. All well and good.

But how do I change the NNA host in Nagios? I somehow setup a link for those
3 hosts so I can click and view the info in NNA directly. Or it will display the
NNA info in Nagios when you click on the host, or link directly to the NNA
host.

I have read through the docs, but maybe not well enough, but how do I go
about changing the IP of the NNA host in Nagios? I have looked but I am
completely missing where to change or modify it.

Thanks.

You can change the IP under Configure > Core Config Manager > Monitoring > Hosts, searching for the NNA host and then editing it. The IP or hostname will be found on the Common Settings tab. Make the change, save changes, and then apply and you should be good to go.

That is what I thought, but I have no host in CCM with that IP address or name. I have no idea
how I managed to add it and actually have it work.

Yet when I go to look at a host that is enabled in NNA and linked in XI the link is there to go directly
to the NNA host. I have added a quick snip of what I'm seeing.

But yet I do not find that host anywhere. Added snip of that. There are only 33 hosts on this instance
with 345 services being monitored. So I can see all hosts on one page and I just don't see that machine.

Not sure where else to look.

Thanks,
Keith

Ok, marked this as resolved.

What I was looking for is under: Manage Components > Nagios Network Analyzer Integration -> Edit Settings.

The Ip address of the server is in there where the API key is stored. Changed the IP there and
the direct link from XI is working again.

Thanks,
Keith
