Hello,
Is there a way to prevent services notifications to happen if the host which provides the services is down? I understand you can disable notifications per service, but I am interested in an automated solution, if it exists.
Thanks.
How to stop notifications about services of a 'down' host
Re: How to stop notifications about services of a 'down' hos
You can go to: Home->Details->Host Detail-><your_host>Advanced tab->More Options->See this host in Nagios Core->Host Commands->Disable notifications for all services on this host->Disable For Host Too->Commit
Hope this helps.

Re: How to stop notifications about services of a 'down' hos
I only want to disable notifications from services of a certain host if that host is down, otherwise I would like to get notifications about services. Will the setup from your previous post accomplish that or will it just disable all service notifications for that particular host?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The previous message would be to disable all service notifications for that particular host.
You could setup a service dependency in Configure -> Advanced -> Service Dependencies
