In looking through the logs in your profile, unless you know otherwise, it would appear that the switch was powered off or offline for a period of time. Can you check into this and let me know?

Thank you.

It looks like that email notification is coming from a host that was created last Friday when someone ran the Network Switch / Router wizard.
I took a look at the profile and I cannot see a host definition so there may be a configuration that is not be in sync.
To sync them up, following this procedure and see if the email notifications go away.

Go to the Core Config Manager
Under "Tools", click "Write Config Files" or if you are running a newer versions of XI, The menu is called "Config File Management"
Click the click the "Write" button, then the "Delete" button then click the "Write" button and then the "Verify" button
If you get any errors, resolve them and click on the "Delete" button, "Write", "Verify" until all of the errors are resolved.
Click the Apply Configuration link and click the "Apply Configuration" button after all of the errors are resolved.

If you do not want the process running for gathering the bandwidth information, you can stop that by going to this folder
/etc/mrtg/conf.d
and removing the configuration files for that device.
Try that and let us know if you need anymore help.

So every time I've added a new one I should apply configuration?

If you run the Network Switch / Router wizard and click on the finish button as the last step. That should Apply the Configuration for you so you shouldn't have to do it again.
If you want to gather bandwidth information for that device, rerun the wizard for that device and that should setup the bandwidth and status check for that device and then it should return valid information and not Unknown.

The errors you are receiving is caused by the special characters in the SNMP password and the check it failing because of it.
What you would have to do is to setup a user macro for that password and when you run the Wizard, instead of putting the password in the field, you would use the macro and then the check should be able to login and return the status of those port.
The instructions below are for creating the user macro.
