I see that the latest Nagios Log Server version 1.4.4 came out in November of 2016. I know that ElasticSearch, Kibana and Logstash on which Log Serves is based, released a lot of fixes in 2017 but no new versions of the Log Server were released this year. Do you know if this product is still being developed? When is the new version expected to be released?

It sure is! 2.0 is expected in Q4. You can find release information for all our products at https://www.nagios.com/roadmaps/

Yes. This is highly anticipated. I have folks wanting us to drop NLS and move to Elastic's commercial offerings to keep up with latest improvements.
Personally, the Logstash upgrades to 2.4 are long overdue. 1.5.1 leaves a lot to be desired.
