BUG Report

Post by tmattingly »

I don't know if this is the right place to put a bug report in...

I just upgraded from 5.4.7 to 5.4.8 and I had mentioned a week or two ago about the latest NSClient Plus client being referenced

NPRE (the configuration wizard )
32-Bit Agent 64-Bit Agent
Download v0.3.9 (32bit) Download v0.3.9 (64bit) (Recommended)
Download v0.4.3 (32bit) Download v0.4.3 (64bit)

My problem I posted in early July and after additional troubleshooting in Late July I was told to upgrade from the 4.3 NSCLIENT++ 64 bit client (this was for Windows 7) to the 4.4 out on the NSClient site.

The new version NSCLIENT++ still refers to the 4.3 which did not fix my problem. The 4.4 NSCLIENT++ version DID FIX MY PROBLEM!!!

This page should be pointing to the newer version shouldn't it?

I'm not sure I would call this a bug. When we release a new version of NagiosXI, we bundle it with the agents we've fully tested it against.

I think it is a bug since it didn't work with the 4.3 agent. We could have saved 1-2 weeks of troubleshooting time. A reference to a newer version seems to consider it a 'bug'. (Respectfully)

I'm sorry, I misunderstood you. I'll take it up with our Dev and QA teams. May we close this topic?
