Weblogic server monitoring issue

Post by keerthiprashanths »

Hi Team,

We are trying to configure WebLogic checks for few servers in which we are facing empty response from agent error. We checked the configuration and could not find anything.

For all 19 standard checks same error is coming. We tried to configure it twice but no go.

Application owner also tried to find a solution but it failed.

Can you please suggest..

Please help us on the same.

As a first step in troubleshooting, try running a couple of the check commands from the command line. This will likely give us some detail regarding the errors.

Hey Brian,

Thanks for the same.

If you can please let us know what commands needs to be run in command mode will give us a clear picture and from where we need to run? Do we need to run it from Nagios server or from the client end server?

Hey Brian,

We tried to execute the commands from command line and we got a error as "No response from agent."

Attached the screenshot for the same.

where did you find the plugin from? can you resolve DNS properly for the host you're attempting against?

it's hard to say if that's the right syntax without verifying first.

It would also be helpful to know which version of WebLogic you are attempting to monitor. Many of the WebLogic agents out there are relatively old and might not work with your particular version.

Thanks @tacolover101 and @mcapra!

https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/P ... th/details was tested against WebLogic 12c, so you may want to check it out if you aren't already using a renamed version of it.

Hi Dwhitfield,

We are using 12.1.2.0.0 version of WebLogic server.

Please suggest if the same script that you have provided link can be used.

Yes. 12c covers all 12 at this point. I'm not sure what the "c" stands for.
