I have installed trial enterprise nagios xi version downloaded and deployed on vmware. After installing required vmware plugin I added vmware vcenter server host in nagios. My understanding was that after I supply vcenter server credentials, Nagios would automatically monitor all ESXi hosts. All I see in Nagios is vcenter host and service information as for any other host - I cannot see any specifics about any ESXi hosts that are being managed by the vcenter server. Also, each Windows server I added separately gets critical notifications for all services except ping - the email notification says "socket timeout after 10 seconds". nsclient is installed on each server. Any suggestions?

You should break this into separate threads, but I will address both briefly.

1. For the VMWare, did you follow https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf ?
2. For NSClient, did you follow https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf ?

Can you PM me your Profile? You can download it by going to Admin > System Config > System Profile and click the ***Download Profile*** button towards the top. If for whatever reason you *cannot* download the profile, please put the output of View System Info (5.3.4+, Show Profile if older) in the thread (that will at least get us some info). This will give us access to many of the logs we would otherwise ask for individually. If security is a concern, you can unzip the profile take out what you like, and then zip it up again. We may end up needing something you remove, but we can ask for that specifically.

After you PM the profile, please update this thread. Updating this thread is the only way for it to show back up on our dashboard.
