Hi,
I am monitoring Security devices using SNMP. I have shared below requirements,
1. IP Address
2. Hostname
3. MIB File(s)
4. Device Type and Vendor
5. Confirmation if SNMP port 162 (UDP) open or not.
Do you really think I need to have SNMP community string or my tool will be able to monitor using these.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Network devices (security) monitoring using SNMP
I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if you can monitor those data points without SNMP? SNMP will need a community string.
