Is there some way to not show a service as critical (in the various ops screens, ops. center, Nagvis, etc.) the first time it goes into a critical state? You can do more checks before it sends out an alert, but is there some mechanism to prevent it from showing as critical as well?
Our users are getting a bit nervous because of some services that might show a critical state, just to recover the next minute...

On the some views like Birdseye and Operations Screen you can choose to not show Soft states. Find these under Home > Quick View.

Hehe, sometimes the solution is so simple you overlook it.
We are using Nagvis for this usergroup: set it to ignore soft states en we are done!
