Hello Nagios Experts,
where can i find a recipe/instructions, or even a book that would give me this insight, for setting up Object inheritance? i would like to know all the ins and outs of nagios but dont have that luxury, like all of us. I believe from what i have researched so far that is the preferred method when one has more than one machine that are similar. I have computers/servers on different floors and would like to show a map that would reflect that topology. Thanks in advance!
always the newbie

Re: Object Inheritance instructions
For object inheritance specifically: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... tance.html
Here's the manual: https://library.nagios.com/library/prod ... e/manuals/
As for maps, you may want to take a look at https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/A ... d-Diagrams

No problem. Our hours (including holidays) are posted at https://www.nagios.com/contact/ . During the business day, we can often be pretty quick, but it depends on the complexity of the issue. Sometimes we need to dig through logs and such. Sometimes community members will help out during our off-hours.
