Monitor Metrics present in HP Virtual Connect Manager

Post by bsivavani »

Hi Support,

We would like to monitor Port Status present in HP Virtual Connect Manager as shown in below screen shots.

Port Status in Ethernet Networks
EthernetNetworks_Port.jpg
Port status in Shared Uplink Sets

Port status in SAN Fabrics

Kindly advice on if any plugins available to monitor the highlighted metrics.

I believe you also have a ticket about this issue. Would you prefer the forum or the ticket?

I don't see anything on our exchange for HP Virtual Connect Manager. You could potentially use the Network/Router wizard to get the same info.

Also, there are a number of HP checks you could try.

You might also be able to use the Web Transaction Wizard.

There is no much information under the Network/Router Wizard and Web Transaction Wizard.

Is it possible to use SNMP configuration option in HP Virtual Connect Manger to integrate with Nagios. Please suggest ?

What information are you trying to monitor on those devices?
The Network Switch / Router wizard will monitor the network port status and bandwidth but it you are looking for more information than that, you can search the exchange site for more an plugin that will work for you.

You cannot integrate HP Virtual Connect Manger to integrate with Nagios.
