Would you like to send you the output of this in some other fashion? Please let me know and I can send it along.

Thanks!

I meant to also add that we were able to finally write out the config files mentioned in this exchange.

We had to remove the file with the unexpected EOF "/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/esappj64.uits.iupui.edu.cfg" as writing out the config files would not overwrite it. Once we did so, the procedure works and nagios is starting.

We still do not have it processing checks properly and all "Last Check" fields are from days ago; weather okay or warn/crit.

Part of the problem is you are out of inodes on the ram disk, which may be part of a configuration problem.

At this point I'd like to have you open a ticket, and send your profile from Admin -> System Profile by sending an email to
[email protected]

Please also reference this thread.

It is possible we may need to do a remote session to determine any additional misconfiguration is that is causing the errors

Thank you very much! I will gather the info and get that to support by EOB today (5p EDT).

Will an escalation count against our email limit according to our support contract?

Yes, but you haven't used any email support to date, so there would be no charge

I have posted said email. I have gotten no reply saying a ticket was created (if you all use a ticketing system). Please post here if the team still hasn't gotten the email.

I may be having trouble sending a zip file with our mail relays (not admin-ed by us). I may have to repackage the profile as a .tgz

Please let me know if the "[email protected]" account has gotten an email from an address beginning with rmday.

Thanks!

Ticket received with the zip file attached. I will be closing this thread now and we will continue via email in the ticket.
