is there a way to use the display name field instead of the hostname or servicename field to display the bbmap ?

There is an option under your username to use display names, but it appears to not work in the BBMap page. I have filed a feature request with internal ID 12426 for this.

this is what i currently have with nagios 5.4.0 in the user preferences. In which version does the display name option appear in the gui ?

No ETA at this time but roadmaps for all products can be found at www.nagios.com/roadmaps/
