Thanks for the help to date - but we are going round in circles.
Let me explain my situation
I have my old Server 1 - which as been upgraded from Nagios XI version 4 to version 5 - and still has PostgreSQL
I have a new Server 2 - which has a clean install of Nagios XI 5 - so this does not have PostgreSQL
So I cannot use this method - https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf
So how do I migrate all my settings from Server 1 to Server 2
Migrate from Nagios XI 4 to Nagios 5

Re: Migrate from Nagios XI 4 to Nagios 5
You cannot both upgrade and migrate away from postgres at the same time.
The best bet would be to upgrade the existing machine, to the latest version.
Then follow this guide:
https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/c ... os-xi.html
Finally, make a final backup to move to the new server

Thanks for all your help - we followed your steps and it all worked successfully - we are now running version 5.4.11 without PostgreSQL on a new server.
