NSClient Error: invalid password

Post by SFace »

Im currently using Nagios XI 5.4.10 to monitor both linux and windows machines. However i encounter this error when trying to monitor CPU, Disk usage , and Memory usage on a windows 7 laptop. I have already edited the password in the nclient.ini file and made sure the same password was applied to the Nagios server via the web console but still to no avail. I have also tried leaving the passwords blank but it didnt change a thing.

P.S its my first time with nagios so knowledge is limited.

If there are screenshosts or config files needed tell me and ill post them on here

Could you post your nsclient.ini file?

If you could also post a screenshot of where you put the password in XI?
(for example, you can check this by going to Home of XI --> Configure --> Core Config Manager --> Services --> Click on your Windows 7 host, any service will work CPU, Disk usage, etc)
Post the screenshot of how this (I'll post my screenshot of what I would like to see)

Did you restart the NSClient service on your Windows 7 laptop when you change your password? Or did you rerun the wizard?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
