Post by sandeepatil »

In the process of Deadpool, after removing Hosts/Services from deadpool and delete form monitoring configuration, Nagios XI service or any other service will restart ?

Yes, the services need to be able to Apply Configuration which restarts the nagios process.

It should only take a second or two even on a large system.

If you were to do the same thing through the API, the nagios process still needs to restart for the changes to take affect. This is the case no matter how the changes get there.

There is not a deadpool API endpoint. I was just mentioning that if you interact with the PAI or use the deadpool feature, they both require the configuration to be applied which includes a brief nagios restart
