embed a url link output filed in a NRDP xml message

Post by scott han »

Hi there,
I am a newbie for Nagios, I know can embed a text in output field of a service NRDP XML message, then this text would be displayed in status information of Service Status dashboard, just wondering is there anyway to make
this text an url linkage, so it can be displayed as linkage in status information of service status dashboard and clicked?
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, @scott han. Unfortunately, you can not pass links or scripts in the service status itself. I believe that is made for security purposes. You could, however, set up a custom notification email to be sent to you whenever something goes wrong with the service. And you can add links to your email notification.

You could also set up a custom component next to the service which will contain a script to do something or a link to some resource.
