only shows up for the user that installed the application, nobody else?
is this intended or why does this occur? This is a default standard install via msiexec batch script doing what they told me and a default conf file.
any ideas? does the regular nxlog community edition do this too?
nxlog - programs and features - only shows up for 1 user
Re: nxlog - programs and features - only shows up for 1 user
What exactly do you mean by "shows up"? In the Services list? In the start menu?
Strictly speaking, nxlog as a service/process should run under the system user every time.

talking about the actual program list in "Programs and features"
if I am the user that installed nxlog, it shows up for me.
If another admin logs in and looks at the program list, it does NOT show up, aka not listed.
I am not talking about services, it shows up there as well as the files being in the folder as well. Just doesnt show up in programs and features.
all I have is a batch script that does this
msiexec /i nxlog-ce-latest.msi /quiet
then copies a conf file from a share and starts up the service.

@googol,
This doesn't seem to be a Nagios related issue. Nxlog is not under Nagios.
It's up to Nxlog to decide how it's download/install process is implemented system-wide.
