Hello,
The issue I am currently having is when I change the name of a service I am currently monitoring and the history of that service vanishes for me. Is there a way to change the name of a service (due to typos, change in service description, etc) without losing its history (times it has gone down, up, etc)? I would like to not lose the service history because it helps us on diagnosing the most common issues and when they occur.
Thanks

Re: Service History vanishing after service name change
Hello, @oteroj92. You should use a Bulk Renaming tool in Configure/Core Configuration Manager. This feature is only available for Nagios XI enterprise edition.
When you rename services the regular way Nagios creates a new .rrd file leaving the old one unmodified. So, if you want to get the old history back 1)rename your service to the old name 2)Use the bulk renaming tool to rename services/hosts without loosing history data.
