Clone Nagios Server for Test Environment

Hello,

We currently have a paid Nagios XI server in our production environment.

What I would like to do is create a clone of the production server in VMware and rename it to be a test server to test plugins and settings before implementing to production server.

My questions is, if I clone the production server and run a second instance only for testing will the break our production license?

If you have a paid Nagios XI license, you are entitled to 3 installs. In your case, you should be fine to have a Production, Test, and Backup.
