Server Mapping
What is the user of user account names for each xi server in server mapping ? We tried to change the users and the information fusion pulls is the same.

Re: Server Mapping
@naga.aripaka,
Which version of Nagios Fusion do you have?
So if you change the XI users info, it doesn't get updated in Fusion? What information are you changing?
It uses the "Name" Field and not the username in XI.
Is this what you mean? If not, can you show us some screenshots for better detail? Thanks!

Re: Server Mapping
I am talking about the option here. The drop down list has all the account names that are on nagiosxi.

Re: Server Mapping
Yes, I see what you mean. Are you trying to change how the name is displayed there or why it's not updating the data?

Take a look at this documentation about users.Server User Mapping
This section provides a list of already Fused servers, here
you can select which fused servers a user has access to
(by default all servers)

Re: Server Mapping
No matter which user of xi I select from that drop down list, all the nodes of an that XI server are seen. I am sure that if we check exclude option. It will exclude all nodes from to that user we are creating. But what do the user names in that drop down list do.

Re: Server Mapping
These two lines do not make sense or I am getting them wrong. For suppose, I have a user account in XI that has no view to any of the nodes. I select that username in the mapping drop down list in fusion user creation. Yet I can see all the nodes of that particular XI server. Multi tenancy doesnt seem like its working.

Re: Server Mapping
Let's say if a user on a Nagios XI server has read-only access. In XI they will only be able to see the assigned hosts/services, but Fusion will list all objects. (But once you click and go into XI, it should only list a few nodes)Map their Nagios XI user account to their Nagios Fusion user account
◦
This ensures that the multi-tenancy features of Nagios XI flow through to Nagios Fusion.
◦
It ensures that the Fusion user can only see the objects they have been granted to see in Nagios XI,
all information presented to them in Nagios Fusion will respect the Nagios XI permissions.
Is that how it works for you?

Re: Server Mapping
No it doesnt even work that way. If we click on the xi link it will take you to the login page of the xi or an already logged in session on the browser.

Re: Server Mapping
Did you set up an automatic login for that user?
Doing this should log him into the user he is mapped with everytime he goes to an XI server.
