Hello All,
After enabling the lock down mode for ESXi, I am unable to manage ESXi host from nagios due to none of the account was not accessible, so can somebody please suggest me how to manage ESXi by adding vCenter to nagios.
As I checked in Nagios, its showing only VMs are monitored by vCenter.

What is the error that you are getting? Can you show us a screenshot? Also, show us the actual check, run from the command line, along with the output of it.

Re: Can we manage ESXI host with VCenter
Hi,
Once we enable lockdown mode in ESXi servers, non of the user account will not work. For monitoring nagios it required login credentials, so we can't use ESXi. Only way to managing ESXi servers is vCenter. Kindly suggest us how to manage ESXi host in nagios by using vCenter server.

Re: Can we manage ESXI host with VCenter
How are you monitoring ESXi? Have you used any plugin?
Or are you asking how can you monitor VCenter?
There are many plugins on our Nagios Exchange. You can search there.
https://exchange.nagios.org/
If you have already started a way of monitoring VCenter, let us know the plugin and how you are running this from the command line and the output. Thanks!

Re: Can we manage ESXI host with VCenter
What version of vCenter do you have?
We have some documentation for monitoring VMware. That could help you get started.

The plugin (check_esx3.pl)

Re: Can we manage ESXI host with VCenter
We are running vCenter 5.5 and 6.5 both. Which you have sent is monitoring ESXi host directly not through with the vCenter. We need to monitor ESXi through vCenter in Nagios. We were monitoring ESXi earlier without any issue, We enabled Lockdown mode for ESXi (ESXi will not allow any local users to login, Only way to manage ESXi is vCenter )
