Summary Notifications

Post by glitchcowboy »

Good Morning all. Is there a way to get summary email notifications instead of single notifications?
I know that proper parentage is important, but I'd still like summary notifications.

Hello, @glitchcowboy. Different checks are scheduled and run at different times. Whenever a check goes into critical/warning state it's being sent to the notification queue right away. You may disable notifications and just run a notification report every once in a while. Or you may enable dependency, say if HOST goes down then XI won't send any notifications for the services that run on that host. Because obviously, those services will become critical as well.
Also, check out the BPI tool. Home/Details/BPI You can add all hosts and services to the group and have XI send notifications when less than X percent of services are UP.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
