Hi,
I am using nagios XI 5.4.7. I am trying to configure the network switches. When I am using SNMP Walk wizard, it is able to configure the device.
If I am using SNMPV2c, it is adding the device as well as the services are green. When I moved to SNMPV3, till SNMPWalk wizard, it was working fine, and once I added those services, it is showing the error "External command error: MIB search path: $HOME/.snmp/mibs:/usr/share/snmp/mibs". What could be the reason?

Problem to configure Appliances with SNMP Trap using SNMPV3
Hi,
I am using nagios XI 5.4.7. I am trying to configure the network appliances. The port 162(UDP) is open. Here my queries are:
1. If I use SNMP V2c, do I need to save the communication string at Nagios XI server and where?
2. If I use SNMP V3, where do I need to place the authentication details somewhere?
Please assist.

Re: Problem to configure Appliances with SNMP Trap using SNM
In the switch wizard there are tabs for SNMPv2c and SNMPv3. Can you attach a screenshot of what exactly you are seeing?nitin.gupta111 wrote: 1. If I use SNMP V2c, do I need to save the communication string at Nagios XI server and where?

Also, can you PM me your Profile? You can download it by going to Admin > System Config > System Profile and click the ***Download Profile*** button towards the top. If for whatever reason you *cannot* download the profile, please put the output of View System Info (5.3.4+, Show Profile if older) in the thread (that will at least get us some info). This will give us access to many of the logs we would otherwise ask for individually. If security is a concern, you can unzip the profile take out what you like, and then zip it up again. We may end up needing something you remove, but we can ask for that specifically.
You can also generate a profile manually using the script at /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components/profile/getprofile.sh
That should generate a profile in /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/components/ which you can get off the server with an application such as FileZilla.
After you PM the profile, please update this thread. Updating this thread is the only way for it to show back up on our dashboard.
If you get an error that PROFILE BUILD FAILED, please see https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.p ... ategory=44

Dear Team,
Thanks for help. I am able to download the file, but due to security reasons, I am unable to share the same. Please suggest, if you are looking for some specific information.
