it is obsered that while installing nagiosxi i am not able to download the pkgs from internet althogh,
internet access is provided. using yum or wget i am not able to download pkg from internet.
so kindly suggest what access we required for installing nagiosxi.
is it full internet download access.
do i need to give proxy details as well.
which access we will ask for for installing nagiosxi.
which is better option for installing nagiosxi .
Redhat or Centos
if installing on Red hat is it required to registered that system with RHN
do i need to installed yum manually on red hat server.
pls guide.

While we don't officially support an offline install we have documented some setups required for a proxy install in our FAQ

As for the question on CentOS or RHEL, I can't say either is "better" however with RHEL, you WILL need to have the machine registered with RHN for the installer to work.
