Re: Can not delete service
Hello, @CSykes1. Please navigate to the Core Configuration Manager and open the services menu. Find the service you want to remove and click on it. From there make sure that it's not assigned to any host groups, service groups and remove all hosts from the "Manage Hosts" tab. After, please navigate to the Alert Settings section and remove all assigned contacts. Click on save, and then apply configuration. Now, you should be able to remove the service.

Re: Can not delete service
Hello @npolovenko, the problem is that is not listed in services anywhere.

Re: Can not delete service
@CSykes1, I see. What happens if you go to the Core Configurations Manager and click on "Apply Configuration"? Does it fail? How did you add this host and services in a first place? Did you use wizard or did you import configs?
Could you upload your Nagios XI System Profile so I can review it?
To send us your system profile. Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and attach it to your next post, or upload it to the cloud storage of your choice and share a link with me in pm.

Re: Can not delete service
@CSykes1, I see that you have quite a few duplicate service definitions. Not sure how that happened, but a good way to handle this would be to revert the XI to a working Configuration snapshot in CCM.
Or, here's a quick fix: Navigate to the service menu again and select the uppercase KENSDNS config name. And delete the service from that config instead. Click on apply configuration to save the changes.

Re: Can not delete service
@npolovenko, Tried both fixes, neither worked. Also when look at the host list I don't see one in all caps.
Re: Can not delete service
Try this, go back to the Services menu in the CCM and leave the Config Name field blank. Type in the name of the service in the search field and search for it.
If you find it, delete it.
If you don't find it then I an guessing that the running config is not is sync with the configs in the CCM and this procedure should sync them up.
Go to the Core Config Manager
Under "Tools", click "Write Config Files" or if you are running a newer versions of XI, The menu is called "Config File Management"
Click the click the "Write" button, then the "Delete" button then click the "Write" button and then the "Verify" button
If you get any errors, resolve them and click on the "Delete" button, "Write", "Verify" until all of the errors are resolved.
Click the Apply Configuration link and click the "Apply Configuration" button after all of the errors are resolved.
Post back if this works or not.
