mcapra wrote:@lmiltchev actually did some investigation into this, and it's a bug within the Metrics component that we're going to need to fix. A big re-work of that component to better include 3rd party plugins is currently on our to-do list.
I do apologize for the inconvenience. Let us know if you have additional questions regarding this.
Has anyone heard if the bug was fixed? I would like utilize the Metrics feature.

Dan,
some of the issues with the Metrics component have been fixed already, others - not yet. Currently, custom memory checks with check_nrpe and NSClient++ won't show up in the Metrics. Only the check_nt checks will. Our developers are planning on re-writing the component but I don't have an ETA on that.
Having said that, are you having any specific issue with the Metrics component that you are troubleshooting at the moment?

Only issue is that it hardly shows any servers with data but we mostly use the newer NCPA nagios agent (using that check_ncpa.py plugin) to basic system health checks. I was hoping to use the Metric feature to report on checks for cpu, memory, and disk checks that are done by the newer NCPA nagios agent, but I'm unable to find the systems included in metric data that use this newer agent. I'm kind of bummed. My boss has wants metrics pulled for a lot of things.

The last round of additions to the metrics component were before ncpa was fully developed. I will add a feature request to add the NCPA wizard defaults to the metrics component.
Hi Team,
Any update on this ? Client has came back with the issue to get it resolved as we was supposed to provide the solution in july release of update.
Hi Team,
We are unable to respond back positively to client on this issue as its reported many months back and yet not fixed. Please provide some timeline on fixing this one.
Unfortunately, a request is a request. This may never happen. We have not yet approved this feature for inclusion and cannot give you a timeline for when it may be included. You can follow the changelog at https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... NGES-5.TXT
