npolovenko wrote:@zihan, Thanks for the feedback and for the screenshots! We did go over everything and there are a few things to tell. As far as the graphs not displaying after you renamed the host/service: when you rename service or host from the Core Configurations Manager it creates new RRD and XML files, so it will take a while for Nagios to recreate new RRD and start collecting some data. Usually, it's 10 -15 minutes before the graphs start working again.
If you want to rename a host or a service, but keep the graphing history you need to use a Bulk Renaming Tool from the Core Configurations Manager.
As far as seeing a messy code, we weren't able to replicate it. We went to all of those menus in XI that you mentioned but all Chinese characters were displaying correctly. We tried on both, Google Chrome and Firefox. Have you tried cleaning out browser catch and maybe signing out of XI and then signing back in? If you had and it still didn't help then please open a ticket here: https://support.nagios.com/tickets/ Our techs will examine your system profile and possibly do a remote session.
I also saw that the capacity planning feature wasn't working. Was It working before you renamed the host and the service? Usually, the check needs to run and collect data for at least 1-2 weeks before this feature starts working.
With all that said, if you still experiencing problems I think opening a support ticket would be the best way to move forward with this issue.

I think you try it in my way, and you can repeat the problem.

for example

report→Availability menu,in Limit to box, select 测试一下,and service box ,select 根空间监控,
chinese in the limit to and service are ok
and you click run ,below Service Availability, chinese messy code appear。

@zihan, After further testing, we found out that the problem is still present but only in Nagios XI versions that are based on MySQL. In other words, if the XI is installed on top of CentOS 6 it will probably have issues. This will be patched in XI 5.5. Thank you for helping us identify this.

Do you mean that installing nagioxi on centos7 won't have such a problem?

@zihan, The exact date hasn't been announced yet but the release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018.
Keep an eye on the XI roadmap: https://www.nagios.com/roadmaps/
Yes, a clean XI 5.4.12 installed on top of CentOS 7 seem to not have this behavior.

Thanks, @zihan. So you named the host 测试一下 but in the capacity planning menu it is displaying as测试一下1? And then Nagios is looking for the RRD file in /usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/1/ instead of /usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/测试一下/, correct ? Can you run:

Code: Select all

 ls /usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/
