NNA 2.2.3 thinks it's the latest version
NNA 2.2.3 thinks it's the latest version
Running a 2.2.3 Network Analyzer. Go to Admin, then check for update, and it tells me I'm running the latest version. That's not true. Latest version is 2.3.1. Running the check from the bottom of the screen does indicate that there is a new version. Call it a bug?

Hello, @eloyd. I did install your version of NNA and it showed the correct update alert. If your NNA is behind a proxy server and it prevents NNA from connecting to the api.nagios.com you will see this kind of behavior.

Re: NNA 2.2.3 thinks it's the latest version
Nope. No proxy server. Straight connection to the big bad internet. Now, this was a NNA install from source back from 2014r1 release (long time upgrades), so there may be some sort of inconsistency, but all our other Nagios software (XI and NLS and Fusion) upgrade just fine. It's obviously not a big deal, but it's a deal, nonetheless.

Re: NNA 2.2.3 thinks it's the latest version
We haven't been able to recreate the issue in-house. A new instance of NNA 2.2.3 AND an upgraded one (from 2014r1.0), both find the latest version of NNA (2.3.1) just fine.
I can't recall this issue being reported by other users. It's hard to say what can be causing this. You said you were not using a proxy... Is it possible that this is a caching issue? Have you tried clearing your browser's cache? Have you tried a different browser?

New browser, just installed on a new VM. Cleared cache anyway. Click on Check for Updates and it still says I'm running the latest version. In the "for what it's worth" category, never had any problem updating this, or any other Nagios box at our site before. Not that this is a real "problem."

Re: NNA 2.2.3 thinks it's the latest version
Try upgrading to NNA 2.3.0 (if this is an option for you), and see if clicking on the "Check for Updates" button shows you that there is a newer version available.
P.S. I am not asking you to upgrade to the latest as in this case the "You're running the latest version of Network Analyzer" message will be definitely true...
