maintenance windows to ignore alerts

Post by tonkaUser »

Hi,

How can I add a universal maintenance window to all services/hosts when Nagios should not send any alerts?

Thanks

Hello tonkauser

In Nagios XI, this is referred to as "Scheduled Downtime". This KB doc should provide you with what you need:

Thanks. Is there a way to crate a recurring downtime for all services/hosts? I don't see that option

Not directly. You can set up a hostgroup called something like "All Hosts" though and then actually put all hosts in it. Then, you can schedule downtime for that hostgroup.

It sounds like this issue has been resolved. Is it okay if we lock this thread? Thanks for choosing the Nagios forums!
