Urgent Nagios XI System has stopped responding to SNMP traps

Post by vijilants »

System:
Nagios XI Version : 5.4.11
londnms1 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.i686 i686
CentOS release 6.5 (Final)
Gnome Installed

Hi,

Can someone please advise.

This is quite urgent

The system has stopped showing SNMP traps. I have restarted the SNMPTT service but no change. I have also restarted nagios but no change. I have also done a restore to the previous backup version which was working, but still no change.

Traps are arriving the snmptt.log, but the application does not appear to be processing them.

Thanks

@vijilants, Do the SNMP entries in the snmptt.log file look different then they used to? Do all the other service checks update and change statuses as they should? Do you see anything in unconfigured objects menu?(Admin/Monitoring Config/Unconfigured Objects). Have you done anything else other than modifying mrtg.cfg recently? For a faster resolution I suggest opening a support ticket here: https://support.nagios.com/tickets/

The log entries are exactly the same. The other services are working,

I didn't manually modify the mrtg.config file manually....i re scanned the device via the wizard.

I've opened a ticket
