SNMP trap not captured by Nagiosxi

Post by nfv_nagios »

Hi Support

Good day to you.

I need your advise on a weird issue i encountered on Nagios XI 2014R1.3.

I have a particular server sending SNMP traps to Nagios server but i do not see any entries logged in snmptt.log or snmpttunkown.log file in /var/log/snmptt/.

From the tcpdump captured in Nagios server, i could see incoming snmp traps from this server.

I also verified Iptable is not used.

Is there any where else that i should check?

The messages can also be logged to /var/log/messages. If those are not showing up, I'd like to see the tcpdump along with the /etc/snmp/snmptt.conf and /etc/snmp/snmptt.ini. You can PM me these if needed.

Was this working previously or is this a new setup? Did you follow https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios_XI.pdf or another guide/steps?
