Nagios email alerts.

hi
i have configured Nagios email notifications on my professional email Id [email protected] from gmail.

but after 1 month email notifications are stopped automatically. can you give me any suggestion for this. first month its working fine. but exact after one month it stopped.

I'd start by looking at the mail log (/var/log/maillog) and see if there are any obvious errors there.

I have several instances of Nagios which are hosted in Azure and every once and a while the public IP address that is uses will end up on a blacklist which prevents it from sending email. When that happens, I can see in the log the mail server is rejecting the message and that I need to go work with Spamhaus to clear it up.

That might not be your issue, but it's bitten me in the rear more than once.

@Knack, Can you share the nagios.log file and mail.log files with us? Preferably I'd like to see these logs from the day where some email notifications were supposed to come in.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.

Hi, @Knack. I can only see one notification today in your nagios.log file. And how comes the latest entry in the mail log is from the third of February? Are there any entries in the mail log file after the third of Feb?
Can you run these commands and let me know the output:

Also, please show your mailing command definition and your service check/host check definition. I want to make sure that the notification settings were set up correctly.
