Hello, we have a large number of servers classified into different groups (hostsgroups for instance) for which we'd like to view quite a few different plots of a single metric for all hosts in a single group.
We can do this with the "multi-stack" graphs, but there doesn't appear to be any way to add a whole host group to the plot at one time -- just server by server. This takes a very long time to set up a plot for say 20 or 30 servers for 1 metric. We can then save that plot to a dashboard, but we can no longer modify the time range.
Additionally once, we set up all the servers we'd like to see from a particular server class with a particular metric, there appears to be no easy way to just change the metric to a different one without re-doing the whole plot again.
There may be a faster and more flexible way to plot server groups against 1 metric than what I'm doing here. If so, could you please advise how I'd best accomplish this in a time economical manner?
Ultimately, we have several different hostgroups with 20 to 80 servers per host group
I've briefly searched the forum and seen others asking some similar questions without resolution, for example:

Maybe there is another way, or a newer way to accomplish what we're looking to do. Please advise.
We are running Nagios XI 5.4.11
Thank you.
Flexible single metric plotting for multi-hosts
Re: Flexible single metric plotting for multi-hosts
We have discussed in the past adding an option to select hostgroup/service group in the Graph Explorer (under the "Multistacked Performance Graph" tab), however decided that there was no good way of implementing this functionality reliably, because of it's complexity.
As far as modifying the time range on the dashlet - we have a few requests for adding this feature, and there is an internal feature request task in our system already. I don't have an ETA on when this is going to be implemented - the decision to implement the enhancement is at the sole discretion of our development team.
