Switch ports

Post by ushahab88 »

Dear Team,
I have integrated cisco switches and routers in nagios xi. now The issue is the ports which are not in use, i mean that are not physically connected. Nagios xi shows as critical. and it generates alerts as critical how can i remove them.

You can remove the service of those ports through the Core Config Manager (CCM)

https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... gement.pdf

This documentation shows you how to use the CCM.

You can look at deleting/deactivating --> services.

Make sure you know which ports are not in use in order to remove the correct ones.

Let us know if this helps.

This Solution I know, but my question is if the port which i have deleted from nagios through CCM. When that port will be in use so again have re run the wizard or add that port for respective switch.

If you just deactive them in the CCM you do not have to re-run the wizard, you can just activate them in the CCM when you want to add them
