Nagios XI Check Scheduler

Hello,

I was wondering, is there a way to configure exact times when checks get scheduled? I don't think we have an issue at this point, however we were wondering as we add more and more checks, how we might correlate issues between hosts if the "problem" happens at say 12:30:01, however some checks trickle in over a 5 min timeframe from say 12:30:02, to 12:35:01. (whereas if all items at least alerted at say 12:32:02, we might know about the correlation) Just thinking ahead and wanted to understand better how Nagios XI schedules checks.

There is some limited control in timing in that you can specify time frames to run checks, but there are a lot of factors that control when exactly a check will run. Good and detailed information on scheduling at can be found at http://nagios.manubulon.com/traduction/ ... uling.html.

Other options that will help control(and give you better ways to correlate problems between systems) when checks are run are child/parent relationships and you also can make it so that execution of checks are dependent on other host or service checks. More info:
