Alert suppression

Post by jyoti22 »

Hi Team,
In Nagios if a host is down then we get alerts for host down as well as alerts for all the services related to the host.
Is there a way we can suppress the service alerts and keep only host alerts?

Thanks,
Jyoti

normally these would be suppressed by default , unless your retry interval * max check attempts is shorter than the check interval on the host.

Here is a detailed description
