I need to disable alert for all my services/hosts during network maintenance. I have about 200 services/hosts. I tried maintenance windows but still get the maintenance alert during and after. Is there a wayto disable all alerts during this time instead of shutdown nagios?

I assume you're setting the maintenance window with the scheduled downtime feature? https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... s%20XI.pdf covers this if not. If this is what you're using, what is set for how to treat Services and Child Hosts? Are the emails for children or services? Are the alerts alerting to the child/host being unreachable or that it is going in/out of maintenance?
You may have the "Scheduled Downtime" notification option set on the host or service or a template inherited by them. Check this setting by viewing the Alert Settings tab on the host/service/template under Configure > Core Config Manager > Monitoring > Host/Services and Configure > Core Config Manager > Templates > Host/Service Templates. Note that if none of the options are selected then ALL notification types are sent.
