How come the Nagios GUI doesnt open with Internet Explorer. Whenever I try to log in and just keeps jumping back to the login page. What can I do to fix this?

I've used IE 7 and 8 with Nagios XI and have not seen this problem occur.

Have you tried different versions and from different PC's?

Try accessing Nagios XI from a seperate physical PC (not from the PC running the VM).

Internet Explorer does not implement JavaScript completely or correctly (per a feature comparison chart on Wikipedia)[1], which Nagios XI makes heavy use of. This tends to cause some compatibility problems, even more so in older versions. We did recently set up some machines with Internet Explorer (multiple versions) so that we can do more testing for future releases, but as always it is a difficult target. I'm guessing that you are using IE 6, so please note also that IE 6 has been declared "end of life" by Microsoft, so you should be using 7 or 8, which as Box293 noted users have reported success with.
