And those messages were in the xml prior to removing the rrd files? Have the rrd files been recreated?

Hi,
The rrd files have been recreated.
Since the change went in on Friday the gaps seem to be less that before, but it's still not 100%.
I'm still seeing this:

2018-03-26 14:59:20 [16703] [2] RRDs::update /var/lib/pnp4nagios/.pnp-internal/runtime_runtime.rrd DATATYPE::HOSTPERFDATA:0
2018-03-26 14:59:20 [16703] [1] RRDs::update ERROR /var/lib/pnp4nagios/.pnp-internal/runtime_runtime.rrd: found extra data on update
argument: HOSTPERFDATA:0

and

2018-03-26 14:59:20 [16703] [1] RRDs::update ERROR /var/lib/pnp4nagios/.pnp-internal/runtime_invalid.rrd: illegal attempt to update
using time 0 when last update time is 1522094068 (minimum one second step)
2018-03-26 14:59:20 [16703] [2] RRDs::update /var/lib/pnp4nagios/.pnp-internal/runtime_skipped.rrd 0:0

I'm in the process of collating the log files again since the change.

However, could the time issue be related to this?

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1500441#c0

Thanks,
Dave.

I would doubt very much if this bug is related.

How big of gaps are you seeing? Also, using bulk mode I believe it is normal to see some of these errors

Hi,
The gaps are hours and seems completely random.
When you say the errors may be normal, do you mean the time errors, or the RRD errors?
Thanks,
Dave.

I was referring to the errors with minimum of 1 second step.

We are getting a little out of our league as we do not provide support for pnp4nagios 0.6.26

Even in nagios XI we do not use this version, so it could be an error/bug in their software.
