Nagios XI alerts and precedence

Post by jeffdonovan »

We have nagios configured such that notifications are globally enabled but we only want notifications for specific BPI groups. We have over 1000 services that all have a defined "Notificaion Period/Options/Interval". The goal is to control these notifications at the template level. My question is what is the order of precedence when configuring notifications and is it acceptable to remove the lines from all the files in the services directory so that we dont need to edit each service manually?

The service is the highest precedence (over templates), however you cannot just edit the files as these come out of the database when the apply configuration is run.

You can edit them in the CCM -> Bulk Modifications Tool to save a bunch of time

Has this resolved the issue? May me close the thread?
