Generating report of Auto Discovery results

Post by billfling »

Nagios XI trial user. I want to use Nagios XI for security compliance, specifally for the function of tracking devices attached to the network. I've configured Auto Discovery to scan the network every morning, and it produces a count of the number of systems it found and a report of the new systems it found. Since I can see the ongoing log of the Auto Discovery jobs, it gives me a way to track the system on the network over time. This is almost exactly what I need, except, I need a report of the systems that have been lost, those no longer accessible on the network. Is there a way to add this to the Auto Discovery report?

Unfortunately we do not have a report like that builtin.

If you started monitoring the hosts that were found, you would get an alert when they are no longer up, and could get a report of all hosts in a DOWN state.
