Need help reverting back to old snapshot

I am not sure why the bulk import wizard didn't work. Maybe you forgot to click on all of the check boxes, maybe there is something specific about your "template" host that is breaking it. Not sure. You can try bulk host wizard again just to see if it is going to work this time. Also, through the Core Config Manager, you can apply a particular service to a number of hosts, which can also be a solution.
