Performance data

Post by gregwhite »

We have moved our performance data off our Nagios server to an EMC Isilon drive. Due to bandwidth limitations we are having to relocate it.
The storage folks are asking us if there are requirements:
Latency requirements
IOP requirements
As far a data growth that would be a function of the number of devices that we add? Right now we have 2500 devices with 50g of performance data with a year retention. So I would think we would have to have a significant growth in devices to see a significant growth in storage.

Thanks,
Greg

No real requirements but if you have SSDs it is recommend to use them. Space requirements will depend on the number of devices and the retention settings.
